Jim Keay Ford Lincoln is a family owned automotive dealership that has been in business in the Ottawa market for over 35 years. We are seeking a hard-working, energetic and driven Human Resources Coordinator to join our winning team!
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all Human Resources functions. Leads and assists in development and implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives. Assists in the recruitment and selection of qualified applicants, manages employee on and off-boarding processes and performance appraisals. Promotes positive labour relations within and between all dealership departments. Ensures compliance with provincial and federal employment laws and health and safety regulations.
Job Details Include:
· Using and maintaining expertise in all human resources functions (e.g., recruitment, selection process, performance appraisal process, employee pay plans, and legal compliance)
· Coordinating with department managers to identify recruiting needs
· Administering workers compensation claims and associated reporting documents
· Managing the employee on and off-boarding process, ensure all appropriate paperwork is gathered and all data is entered into appropriate databases
· Process and help finalize semi-monthly payroll
· Process and organize all compensation changes and increases
· Assist in creating and maintaining company policies and procedures
· Processing and monitoring enrollment in employee group benefits program
· Act as chairperson on the dealership Joint Health and Safety Committee
· Proactively seeks to maintain a safe working environment for all departments
· Develops, recommends and implements organization policies and procedures related to human resources administration

· Prioritizes responsibilities, considering deadlines, task length, time conflicts and importance
· Actively listens to staff and other team members to accurately assess their needs and takes prompt action to respond to those needs
· Maintains an approachable style and fosters open communication
· Ability to solve difficult or complex problems
