Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) is a full-service community teaching hospital located in the growing and thriving community of Burlington, Ontario, serving more than 185,000 residents in Halton, Hamilton, Waterdown, Flamborough, Milton and Stoney Creek. POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the EVP Corporate Administration & CFO, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for strategic and operational leadership to support the future digital vision of Joseph Brant Hospital. The CIO partners with the senior team to develop and implement the digital roadmap including a new Hospital Information System (HIS).
THE OPPORTUNITY:
JBH’s Digital Strategic Plan has an overarching goal of implementing innovative digital technology to address the clinical and business needs of digitally engaged patients and staff. JBH’s refreshed Digital Strategic Plan will enable the organization to sustain a high-quality patient focus that will enable evidence-based care, clinical decision making and information that is available at the right time, right place and for the right patient. It will allow JBH to adhere to its digital vision by serving its Patients, Partners, Physicians, Programs, and Staff.
OBJECTIVES/DELIVERABLES:
This is an exceptional opportunity for an inspirational, collaborative leader, possessing integrative thinking, and digital expertise to co- lead Joseph Brant Hospital’s transformation and harness the power of information and advanced solutions to impact quality, the care experience and operational excellence.
· Own the digital roadmap and ensure that digital initiatives support strategic priorities and transformation.
· Partner with the leadership team on evolving a culture to support new models of care and service,
including strategy, policy, and measures of success of digital initiatives.
· Lead with broad insights and thorough knowledge related to digital transformation in healthcare.
· Influence people and culture, strategy, roadmaps, and performance through digital transformation.
· Inspire an unrelenting focus on client experience through the digital transformation journey.
· Seek opportunities to improve the interface between clients, clinical practice, and technology.
