Role Description:

Junior / Intermediate Architectural Technologist

This is a full-time on-site role for an Architectural Technologist at J.P. Thomson Architects Ltd. The Architectural Technologist will be responsible for tasks such as architectural technology, technical drawing, working drawings, architectural drawings, and construction drawings. They will work closely with our team to develop and produce comprehensive and accurate architectural drawings for various projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience in creating architectural construction drawings and detailing skills
  • 3 yrs minimum experience in architectural construction drawings in Ontario
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketch-Up
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and consulting teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or relevant field

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday – 8am – 5:00pm
  • 42.5hr work week

Salary / Wage:

To be reviewed based on applicant qualifications

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus pay (performance-based)
  • Overtime pay
