Our client, a Quebec-based company that has been a leader in the design and manufacturing of custom-made products for over 45 years, serving an institutional clientele (education, health and public safety) as well as the private sector, is offering you the opportunity to join the team in order to promote the company’s growth.
Reporting to the Controller, you will perform the following tasks and responsibilities:
– Act as an advisor and coach to managers by ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
– Plan and lead the OHS committee, keep the prevention program up to date and ensure the progress
of the action plan.
– Manage all CNESST files.
– Be in charge of the Occupational Health and Safety files (Accidents, Compensation, return to work,
temporary assignment, short and long term disability) by maintaining a communication link with the
employees, the insurer and the manager.
– Create and maintain employee files and ensure confidentiality (ISO 9000).
– Ensure that an equitable compensation program is maintained.
– Advise management on human resources best practices, improve and implement HR processes,
policies and procedures.
– Maintain reference documents (employee guide, prevention program, training file, pay equity,
training register) and ensure compliance with internal policies.
– Support accounting in the validation of hours worked/projects and Bill 90.
– Participate in the analysis of the needs of the plant and administrative positions and carry out the
recruitment process according to the needs.
– Be in charge of welcoming new employees and following up on their integration.
– Implement strategies for team retention and analyze training needs, plan and follow up on them.
– Support department heads during end of probation evaluation meetings and annual meetings.
– Collaborate in the administration of group insurance.
Your qualifications:
– Hold a Bachelor’s degree in human resources or industrial relations.
– 3-5 years of experience as a generalist or HR coordinator.
– Understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
– Relevant experience in Labour Relations.
– Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
– Discretion, professionalism and good communication skills.
– Ability to adapt and enjoy working in a team.
– Positive and constructive attitude in solution mode.
– Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
– Intermediate English (high level of written French).
