Our client inToronto, ON, is seeking a Data Analyst for 2 years contract opportunity. Minimum 5+ years’ experience with a bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a related field.)
Deliverables:
- Supports the data analysis for mapping to data models for data migration and reporting activities for implementing the RMS.
- Develops ETL, data modeling, and documentation processes.
- Designs and code complex new programs and modifications to complex existing systems according to requirements
- Creates user documentation and technical program documentation.
- Analyzes, plans, evaluates, documents, and designs small to medium-sized systems.
- Informs, designs, and implements data marts, warehouses, data lakes, data lake houses, API’s.
- Translates business requirements and business operations practices into data collection and management solutions.
- Uses querying languages SQL-Oracle/Exadata/HQL/Python to analyze complex data sets across different source systems and develop data mapping for specific business use cases.
- Performs data gap analysis, and data profiling, identifying data lineage, and interpreting and documenting data flow within the data pipelines.
- Ensures completion and collaboration for:
o Defining Reports and Analytics that are useful and consumable.
o Producing a mapping matrix for all data
o Supporting assessment and benchmarking for data quality
o Supporting data extraction, conversion, and integration
o Supporting data validations and secondary controls
- Supports data architecture initiatives and collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Governance and Business partners to ensure designs follow data management standards and best practices.
- Assists with solution architecture, technical design, and implementation of end-to-end data systems that enable well-integrated transactional, business intelligence, and analytical platforms grated transactional, business intelligence and analytics platforms.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent experience, which includes:
o System development, database modeling & design, and data analysis at a senior level
o Data analytics and analytics reporting using various data analysis tools and dashboards.
o Prototyping and requirements analysis
o Implementation of enterprise-level systems
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Informix, DB2) and an understanding of non-relational databases, including integrating data from various sources (XML files, API, Web Services, etc.)
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence and data warehousing solutions (data lake, data warehouse, data lake house, etc.)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ETL development using Microsoft SQL Server, IBM, Azure, AWS, or other cloud-based and Open-Source Data Tools
