• Prepare and send invoices to clients, and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Post journal entries accurately.
• Monitor and track expenses to control costs effectively.
• Assist in month-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll-related ledger accounts.
• Handle government remittances such as HST, EHT, and WSIB.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Maintain the general ledger and develop relevant policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local legal requirements.
• Handle miscellaneous office tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper/Accountant or in a similar role.
• Diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• Atleast 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial information.
