• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, invoices, and receipts.
• Transaction Processing: Process financial transactions such as payments, reimbursements, and vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting software and maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor accounts payable and receivable, follow up on outstanding invoices and collections, and liaise with vendors and customers when necessary.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Budget Assistance: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budget preparation and monitoring of budgetary compliance.
• Payroll Support: Provide assistance in payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries and wages.
• Expense Management: Monitor and review employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
• Audit Support: Assist in the preparation of documentation and provide support during internal and external audits.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct basic financial analysis and assist in identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements.
• Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting regulations and ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and provide support as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as an Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk, or similar role is preferred.
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Dynamics and SharePoint
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
