We are currently seeking to add a Accounts Payable Lead to join our team
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full cycle accounts payable process (including but not limited to entering invoices in the accounting system, coordinating with vendors regarding invoicing / payment inquiries and discrepancies, reconciling vendor statements (research and correct discrepancies, follow-up on POs and supplier invoices).
Audit and process employee expense reports in accordance with the company travel/expense policy and process the company’s VISA accounts.
Assist in month end closing and with audit support as necessary.
Leads and manages projects and initiatives for the Accounts Payable function directed towards process improvements
Weekly reporting and analysis, ensure that the credit balances are reviewed on regular bases
Respond to employee inquiries related to personal expenses
Ensure all aspects of the accounts payable system are set up and operating in accordance with the relevant legislation and company policies
Accountable for payables internal controls; ensuring proper procedures, policies, and rules are applied to payroll activities
Identify opportunities for payroll system improvements and automation
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Position requires a high level of initiative and attention to detail
5+ years of progressively responsible industry experience
Experience with SAGE accounting system
Excellent communication skills
Mindset to continuously improve processes
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Working Environment: Position requires some travel periodically Schedule
Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
