Kelly is seeking a Communications Advisor to contribute to continuing a positive brand image for our Oil and Gas client in Calgary, AB. We are looking for an individual who is confident, motivated, and high performing who will carry out assignments with a strong attention to detail and is able to work alone as well as collaboratively. Duration: 2-year contract
Location: Calgary, AB
Pay Rate: 85-91/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the brand image of the company by mitigating potential risks to their reputation and enhance the company’s reputation as a responsible oil and natural gas developer
Provide external communications counsel to executives and senior leaders
Tell the company story through a creative lens to the media and company website and engage the staff as ambassadors
Aid in writing quarterly news releases, working with investor relations
Write general news releases, develop and maintain important messaging documents, standby statements and media backgrounders about the companies’ operations, ESG performance, technologies and key issues
Curate event prep documents for company reps as required
Carry out other external or internal assignments as needed

You’re a desired candidate if you have:
5-7 years of professional communications experience and time working in corporate communications
An educational background in a related dicipline
Some knowledge in oil and gas industry, to understand current industry issues
Excellent written skills as well as critical and strategic thinking skills
Ability to build strong relationships across different teams in a corporate setting
Comfortability with working with deadlines and are flexible with evolving priorities
