Summary of role
Reporting to the Vice President of Global Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner will support the hardware, software and product management business units across North America, Europe, Asia and Africa. As the HR Business Partner, you will be a strategic resource to your business unit, supporting all areas of international human resources including compensation and benefit programs, recruitment and onboarding, organizational development, performance management, training and development, and cultural change.
In this role, you will provide counsel on all employee relations issues with a particular focus on employee engagement through the development of programs that improve employee retention. In consultation with business unit leaders, you will create employee-centric initiatives that align with corporate objectives while supporting employees within your business unit to develop in their careers. You will collaborate and act in partnership with the corporate human resources team to ensure that HR programs enable employees within your groups to be more effective and impactful in their roles while ensuring there is compliance with HR legislation in each global location. You will partner with business unit leaders to recruit, retain, develop and provide them tools that motivate people to enhance the culture of high performance.
You will support internal communications and coordinate team events and activities. You will act as a cultural ambassador through the promotion of diversity, inclusion and belonging. Through your motivating coaching style, you will be looked to for your guidance and support on various professional matters.
Is this for you?
You will be an HR professional with over 5 years of experience at a business partner level, ideally in a global high-tech environment. From the in-depth knowledge and experience you will have gained throughout your career, you have a strong grasp of HR principles and best practices. To complement your professional experience, you will have completed post-secondary education in human resources or an equivalent subject. A professional HR designation is considered an asset.
As a seasoned HR business partner, you have strong business acumen and a proven ability to provide strategic solutions that align with overall company objectives. You are highly analytical and are able to think conceptually, analyze data and effectively communicate trends. You will bring strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize your HR responsibilities. You have a proven track record of successfully implementing and executing impactful programs within organizations that you have been a part of.
With extensive expertise as an HR advisor, you have experience in providing insightful counsel and assistance in various HR matters. You are service-oriented and passionate about providing dedicated support, mentorship and guidance to employees. You are an exceptional communicator and are able to navigate complex working environments with employees at all levels, demonstrating confidence and engagement in all your interactions. You bring a high level of integrity, ethics and professionalism, and can handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sensitivity. Although you are highly collaborative in nature, you are also self-sufficient and able to complete your individual tasks autonomously.
You are highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems. You have strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Legislation in various geographical areas and are energized by the opportunity to work with diverse individuals and teams in a fast-paced environment.
