KFL&A Public Health is a local public health agency with over 200 staff and volunteers who deliver public health programs and services to the people of the KFL&A area. There is an immediate opening for an Accountant/Bookkeeper, Finance within the Corporate Services portfolio.
The Accountant/Bookkeeper (Payroll), under the direction of the Manager, is responsible for performing payroll and accounting functions. They will assist in budget preparation, financial reporting and year end duties as assigned, and represent KFL&A Public Health in all interactions in a manner which promotes the mission, values, and standards of the organization.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Commerce, and three years related accounting and payroll experience in a computerized accounting environment. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel at the intermediate level and minimum data entry speed of 175 keystrokes per minute with 95% accuracy is also required.
An Advanced Certificate in Accounting or Finance or relevant payroll certification is an asset.
