The Logistics Analyst provides support to the distribution team through study the overall cost and most effective way of managing and auditing logistics costs. This includes assisting with daily activities of distribution, logistics and simple custom functions. As well as overseeing vehicles for delivery to dealers, assisting in vehicles for auto show purposes, processing vehicle allocations and timely resolution of dealer issues/concerns and emails.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the validation and analyzing of the Inventory, Logistical and other including customs related costs, and recommend improvements to existing or planned logistics processes.
Review Third party Logistics (3PL) provider’s performance, KPI, and cost validation and provide summary/reports.
Oversee the acquisition, distribution, allocation, delivery and resource disposal – Analysis of Logistic related items, Days of supply, Supply chain flow, Port, Rail, Compound and transport efficiencies
Reviewing profitability of vehicle wholesale and the monthly production order to ensure trim mix is achieved to target
Overall Trim mix analysis to ensure incoming vehicles will match future Profit and Loss Statement for the upcoming months as they are wholesaled
Determine and recommend any deviant in terms of profit caused by a change in trim mix to help decrease Days Supply of Inventory.
Assist 3PL to set-up full EDI monitoring and validation/reconciliation process, Help the Distribution department with analysis and reporting of Inventory related items as required.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and perform other duties as needed
Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills – Logistics OS, Advanced MS Office,
Ability to work in a stressful, fast paced environment and maintain a customer service attitude
Knowledge of importation and customs is an asset
Attention to detail is a must
Ability to work in a team environment
Self-motivated, easily adaptable to changing priorities
Minimum 3 years administrative experience, preferably in the automotive logistics industry
