Job description

• Experience working in a medical office environment required
• Strong multi-tasking skills – must be able to operate and manage multi-line phone system and family groups.
• Proficient use of telus EMR
• Proficient user of Word, Outlook, Excel
• Administrative duties including: utilizing the Electronic Medical Records system, answering phones, Scheduling and confirming appointments and managing physicians’ clinics, calling referrals, filing, and handling mail and faxes.
• Communicating with labs, healthcare providers, and insurance companies
• Ensure consult, follow-up notes, and diagnostic reports are sent in a timely manner.
• Transitioning paper records to a digital format by performing data entry
• Calculating billing amounts and sending bills to patients and insurance companies.
• Complete insurance and other claim forms
• Interact with patients, colleagues and physicians professionally and address questions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written)
• Leading patients to exam rooms or other areas and explaining medical procedures
• Maintaining medical inventory by ordering new supplies and equipment as needed
• Maintain the professional appearance of the office. Any other administrative duties as assigned.

Salary: $35,007.00-$59,685.00 per year
