We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator with experience with children or in a child care setting.

Preference will be given to early childhood educators with a worker or supervisor certificate. Familiar with FLIGHT

At Kids Cove Daycare & OSC Program, we aim to provide high quality childcare in safe environment filled creative learning experiences and recreational activities. We believe children should come first and they are therefore the central focus of our childcare program. We focus on having exemplary interactions with children because we hold the opinion that “responsive stable caregiver-child interactions are the single most important element in quality child care.” Our role as caregivers is to listen to and observe children, expand on their individual needs and interests, as well as providing them with developmentally appropriate activities and experiences to help in their growth and discovery. This means that instead of focusing on academics, we allow children to learn through child-directed free play. It is therefore our responsibility to create an atmosphere of love, acceptance, fun, and curiosity where children can explore and develop a positive sense of the world around them. Duties and Responsibilities or an Early Childhood Educator:

-Supervising Children and ensuring a safe environment.

-Planning activities based on children’s interests

-Light cleaning duties

-Organizing and preparing your classroom

-Working in a team with others

-Seeing our center as a community and assisting other children and teachers within the center

-guiding children in appropriate behaviors

-problem solving with children

-PLAYING along side children within the classrooms.

Educators are trusted, have control of their classroom environment, freedom with activities, trained, and informed.

Early Childhood Educators are offered a benefits package and vacation pay.

Educators are given an hour a week to do program planning.
