King’s Wharf is a large development on the Dartmouth waterfront. There are to be over 12 buildings constructed. We are seeking a highly motivated construction superintendent to oversee a 27 story residential tower. The project is currently underway with the core footing poured. This person would be in charge of the day-to-day activities on the site. We use subcontractors to complete all major scopes and use our own forces only for general labour. Working with a Project Manager and a construction team, they would:
– Review all drawings for accuracy, ease of construction, conflicts, usability, etc.
– Plan out the construction on site including the use of schedules
– Direct own forces and ensure performance
– Direct all subcontractors, hold daily and weekly meetings, ensure performance of these trades
– Track work on site to ensure meeting quality and schedule requirements
– Have a good understanding of concrete highrise construction, including envelopes and finishing
We are a small team and are looking for someone who is able to take charge and function without a lot of oversight. We have a very strong culture of completing high quality buildings on time and budget and want someone who is driven to do the same. They must be able to communicate effectively and function within a team environment.
