Kingston Imaging Services Looking for Medical Receptionist at Kingston, ON Full Time

Responsibilities and Duties

• Use of a specialized EMR for diagnostic imaging
• Professional and courteous when dealing with patients and staff
• Handle phone calls and take messages
• Arranging schedule and staff scheduling
• Prepare and track invoices, reports, and memos
• Schedule patient appointments and send appointment reminders and follow-ups via calls or emails
• Handle mail and faxes
• Process patient billing and medical insurance claims
• Perform database and file system management

Qualifications and Skills

• Office Administration Certificate (1year) or equivalent
• Previous experience in an imaging clinic is an asset
• Multi-tasking is an absolute must. Detail Oriented a must!
• Must be able to work in a fast paced office .
• Friendly outgoing personality
• Willing to learn new skills and take on more work as needed
• Certificate in medical terminology
• Demonstrated proficiency with Windows-based word processing applications is essential.
• Demonstrated knowledge of e-mail applications
• Keyboarding speed of 40 wpm.
• Demonstrated ability with above average written and verbal communication skills, including good grammar, composition and spelling
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully with all types of people and to handle confrontation. Maintains confidentiality.
• Proven ability to attend work regularly
• Satisfactory criminal record check
• CPR/First Aid
