The goal of the Corporate Development Team is to identify, assess and execute business-enhancing corporate transactions (including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and equity investments involving mining assets or related infrastructure) that are aligned with Kinross’ broader corporate strategy.
Analyst, Corporate Development is responsible for researching, compiling information and preparing analysis in support of all aspects of Corporate Development activities. This includes the maintenance and continuous enhancement of multiple financial models including the Corporate Model and related processes. The role also supports general due diligence activities, as well as reporting for the Junior Equity Investment (“JEI”) portfolio.
Work is complex involving both routine tasks and unique projects often under tight time constraints. In all cases the Analyst is expected to ensure assigned projects are completed on-time, and to a high standard. Where appropriate, it is expected that the Analyst will identify, evaluate and implement modifications to projects, plans and procedures in response to needs. Work is performed under varying degrees of supervision and requires judgement and adaptability.
