SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating the human resources management, training and payroll activities for the Canada site
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may include
– Prepare and run payroll for Canada, maintain and manage vacation, leave and attendance.
– Follow up on cases of people disabled for personal reasons or work related injuries.
– Coordinate group insurance and RRSP program (enrolment and updating of files) as well as annual renewals
– Evaluate personnel needs, complete the hiring process and integration, including the training plan for each new employee.
– Ensure compliance with the collective agreement and participate in its negotiation. Maintain good labour relations and participate in labour relations committees.
– Develop and monitor training plans for all positions Develops individual and/or group training plans while respecting budgets. Manage training and maintain training records (general training, ISO, SQF and OHS).
– Update and create job descriptions for all roles in the facility.
– Manage absenteeism and any disciplinary actions that need to be data.
– Advise and assist managers on legislation, labor law and labor relations, in the application of policies and practices related to staff hiring, compensation, training, performance evaluation, health and safety and disciplinary actions.
– Key Performance Indicators;
– Plan, organize and carry out communication activities (letters to employees, meetings, corporate events and occupational health and safety committee.
– Apply and enforce HACCP and SQF procedures
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
– Is part of the basic management of the facility. Performs management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations (combination of experience/education will be considered);
– 4 years experience in the manufacturing sector and in a unionized environment.
– Experience in payroll management;
– Bilingual (French and English).
– Advanced knowledge of the Office suite
– Knowledge of ADP payroll software (asset)
– Good organizational skills

Salary: $40,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
