Koster, Spinks & Koster LLP Looking for Senior Staff Accountant at Toronto, ON Full Time

We are a mid-town accounting firm looking for a full-time Senior Staff Accountant. The successful applicant must be able to work within a confidential client based environment, be flexible and adaptable to multiple duties. The applicant must also be able to work both independently and comfortably within a team environment.

Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):

• Start to finish working paper file preparation for compilation, review and small audit engagements
• Assistance on larger audit engagements and tax assignments
• Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
• Preparation of payroll and government related remittances and filings including, but not limited to, T4’s and T5’s, T3 returns, T2054, T2057
• Correspond with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding instalments, information requests and notices of assessment
• Be able to identify, troubleshoot and investigate discrepancies which may arise in file preparation and discuss with appropriate parties

The successful candidate will have the following credentials:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business Administration (Accounting and/or Finance major is preferred)
• Experience working in a public accounting firm
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting and tax software such as TaxPrep, Caseware and Caseview, TaxPrep Forms, Microsoft Office

Salary to commensurate with experience.
