Overview of the opportunity:
Reporting to the Manager, BES – Finance, the Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Business Enablement Services and Firmwide Reporting teams.
What you will do:
Complete ownership of month-end process & reporting, including all reconciliations;
Prepare, analyze, book and reconcile monthly journal entries;
Analysis of month-end information (actual versus budget) and preparation of monthly financial reports for review by key stakeholders. Tools utilized excel and Hyperion;
Research and prepare variance analysis and explanations of expenses across the firm for any given category;
Allocation of national expenses within the firm on a timely and accurate basis;
Ad-hoc projects or analysis as required;
Support with the preparation and compilation of forecasts and annual budgets;
Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations, account analysis, accrual calculations, and other related accounting documents/schedules.

What you bring to this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent;
2+ years of financial analysis or accounting experience;
Robust knowledge of accounting principles and concepts, financial statements;
Strong customer focus, interpersonal skills and ability to work independently;
Exceptional data management skills;
Strong analytical skills with an ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the firm;
Strong organizational, analytical, and presentation skills;
Identifies and prioritizes high importance requests both internally and with clients;
Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail – this involves the ability to work quickly and accurately under the pressure of deadlines and changing priorities.
Technical Skills:
Advanced Excel skills, including working knowledge of pivot-tables;
Knowledge of Hyperion and SAP is a plus;
Good working knowledge of PowerPoint and MS Word.
