Pay equity legislation at the federal and provincial levels is written with the goal of ensuring equitable pay, identifying and addressing any gaps that may exist within organizations. KPMG’s Pay Equity practice combines our world-class advisory services on tax and legal matters with our technology-centered approach to problem-solving. At the core of our Pay Equity service offering is a suite of cloud-based technology tools that allow clients to interface directly with their pay equity analysis from start to finish.
We are seeking an experienced Product software developer to participate in the hands-on development of our software solution and to guide more junior staff to lead projects through to completion. This includes working on our standard product as well as implementations for specific client engagements. The position includes aspects of design thinking, user experience and front-end design, user acceptance testing, data quality control and governance, algorithm design and development of the tool’s back-end, and data privacy and security.
The ideal candidate for this position is a problem solver from a technical background who thrives in leadership and/or communication roles in addition to their ability to understand and solve technical challenges. They will be part of our KPMG National Tax team and have opportunities for collaboration including KPMG Ignition Tax, KPMG Lighthouse, the KPMG Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCOE), and other resources across KPMG Advisory, Tax, Audit, and KPMG Law.
At KPMG we continue to be a virtual first work environment. The preferred location for this role is Toronto, ON, however, we are open to the possibility of remote work arrangements across Canada. The team looks forward to representing KPMG and growing our practice locally through industry events and client meetings when safe to do so.
