What you get to do everyday:
- Administer employee health and welfare plans for both Canada and the US offices
- Payroll preparation – HRIS & ADP
- Onboarding and training coordination as it relates to benefits and administration
- General HR administration and support including answering general HR queries from employees
- Participate or lead specialty HR initiatives
- Prepare content for monthly benefit newsletter
- Maintain employee databases, training records, documentation, and organizational charts
- Prepare and disseminate internal and external communication (memos, posters, announcements, articles, etc.)
- Reports and budget analysis
- Travel as required (to the US offices)
Who should you be:
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and follow-up ability
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills with great attention to detail
- Proven self-sufficiency and the ability to create programs from scratch
- Show initiative by proactively looking for ways to do things differently and better
- Strong creative skills, with the ability to develop and champion new initiatives
- A high level of integrity in order to work with sensitive and confidential information
- A team player who works effectively with multiple teams across multiple locations
What skills should you have:
- 1-3 years of HR administration experience
- Experience with benefits administration is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Post secondary degree or diploma in HR or related field
