We are looking to hire a Supervisor, Transportation Planning for our Contract Logistics division based in Mississauga.
Your Role
The Supervisor, Transportation Planning in our Contract Logistics – Pharma Division is accountable for maintaining excellent service levels for our internal and external customers through timely allocation of orders, auditing for proper consolidations, accurate data entry, trouble-shooting roadblocks, continuous process improvement and the prompt resolution of issues. Reporting to the Transportation Operations Manager – CL Pharma, the Supervisor, Transportation Planning is responsible for developing transportation strategies with a strong emphasis on analytical problem-solving to ensure the correct mix of resources for the efficient delivery of product, while maximizing asset utilization and minimizing distribution costs.
Your Responsibilities
Allocate orders to ensure healthy workflow to allow productivity targets are met.
Availability to work periodic overtime and a variety of shifts in order to meet operational requirements.
Communicate with clients on problems they can support to resolve.
Comply with GMP requirements, support HSE policies to promote a safe work environment.
Compliance to GUI-0069 for Temperature Control of Drug.
Products during Storage and Transportation.
Preparation, adherence and maintenance of client Standard Operating Procedures.
Shipment confirmations to ensure all deliveries take place within the transit requirements.
Manage shipment discrepancies, including root cause analysis a.
CEIL ongoing pc count correction, equipment demand planning, inter- DC transfer setups, entering daily LH orders, off-schedule carrier selection/assignment, Hypercare, RMAs, expedites.
Shipment tracking, visibility to identifying major events ie. Acts of nature, weather delays, closures, provincial or regional restrictions due to construction.
Escalations between Ops & Transportation, cross-functional teams ie Finance, Claims.
Experience with CEIL, Degama, Oracle or other related Transportation Management Software are considered assets but not mandatory.
Proven high quality customer service for managing Pharma Healthcare transportation solutions.
On site dock support.
Support flexible work coverage.
POD Management, including shipment level OS+D.
Ensure data integrity & data quality into the Transportation Management System.
Ensure all activities are executed within KN Code of Conduct guidelines.
Other duties assigned within the department from time to time.
Your Skills and Experiences
The right person will have experience in a logistics environment.
Working knowledge of transport methods.
Solid communication.
Customer service skills.
Excellent organizational skills and is a team player.
At least 2 years of Supervisory experience, rail/road, crossborder.
Understanding of supply chain processes.
