We are looking to hire a Finance and Accounting Trainee for our division based in Toronto.
Your Role
The two year Finance and Accounting Trainee program is framed to help the candidate acquire new skills, gain valuable work experience and develop the expertise to prepare for an international Finance career within the Kuehne + Nagel group. The program is built around learning the day to day work via job rotation between Finance and Accounting departments, as well as by on-demand project work. As a pre-requisite, the candidate needs to be geographically flexible within and outside of Canada as the program offers the opportunity to pursue the career outside of the GTA. At this time, we are considering only local candidates who are able to work without employer sponsorship.

oManagement of support request via ticket queue
o Understanding the role of a Finance IT super user
National Business Unit Controlling
o Management of Rolling Forecast + Target Process
o Approval of investment applications
o Month End process
o National P&L review
o National internal reporting tools
Area Branch Controlling
oManaging the FSL risk
o Preparation of Investment applications
o Preparation of Rolling Forecast + Target
o Local Month End process + P&L review
o Local internal reporting tools
Your Skills and Experiences
University Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting/Finance (Master or Bachelor)
6 months or less of finance experience
Knowledge of financial standards, principles and procedures, as well as MS Office applications;
High level of analytical ability;
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure with tight deadlines;
High level of energy, well-motivated and resilience with accountancy skills;
Curious, creative, energetic personality;
Ability to work independently, self-reliable;
Excellent communication skills;
