Job Purpose

With a continuous improvement mindset, the Manager of Process Effectiveness is responsible for developing and leading efficient processes within Customer Service, driving detectable and measurable improvements and compliance. This includes automation within Order Management systems and activities. Leading Customer Service through transformational change maximizing efficiencies and results. Liaising with key stake holders in Supply Chain, IT, Finance and Sales supporting initiatives impacting Customer Service process and best practices.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop robust tools, databases, and reporting capabilities in relation to key KPIs and initiatives to be leveraged within Customer Service, across the Supply Chain and other areas of the business.
• Lead the design and execution of an upgraded Order Management platform increasing automation and ease of data flow, facilitating order management by exception.
• Support the maintenance of the Order Management platform fostering agile capability and usage as business needs evolve.
• Design and facilitate robust governance and tracking that supports an efficient Over, Short and Damaged (OS&D) process.
• Establish and maintain SOPs that define best practices, capturing enhancements and modifications, including training of new team members and / or new processes, business models impacting Customer Service.
• Liaise with Cross Functional Supply Chain teams on cost saving initiatives / order profile optimization, streamlining benefit across the Supply Chain.
• Support the systematic transition of manual to automated orders.
• Lead and develop the Process Effectiveness Specialist.

Critical Success Factors:

• Design dashboards that track and monitor the progress of key KPIs and initiatives such as: Fill Rate, Avoidable Cuts, Truck Load Utilization and MOQs. Identifying risk and opportunity, corresponding recommendations that support influential changes in process and behavior.
• Work with IT to develop an automated platform with increased functionality, enabling order management by exception, with increased data flow that aligns to industry best practices. Including: auto order release, allocation functionality, ATP capabilities across the network, enhancements to order profiling that include totals in various formats.
• Work closely with IT to regularly test and implement new and enhanced functionality to support evolving needs of the business that require Order Management executional support, in an automated environment. Such as: SAP upgrades, onboarding new EDI Customers, change in network or business model.
• Develop and govern an optimized, efficient OS&D process with Cross Functional Supply Chain partners, that is derived from root cause analysis. Summarized and presented monthly, to key stake holders including A/R, that drive alignment on actions and resolution.
• Document new and existing SOPs, and internal / external policies to support times of transition such as onboarding, Customer and Lactalis network changes and / or change in business strategy such as pricing, business models to ensure best practices are followed, providing training, and coaching to Customer Service Reps.
• Work collaboratively with Transportation, Warehousing, Supply Planning to identify, execute and monitor cost saving initiatives such as: Truck Load Optimization, MOQs, Waste.
• Support the DSD Customer Service Manager and IT on the transition of manual to automated orders.
• Provide guidance and coaching to the Process Effectiveness Specialist that supports their growth and development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of SAP order management, Supply Chain Management, Project Management and strong process effectiveness experience

Education & Experience

• College Diploma, University degree in Supply Chain, Business or Engineering
• 5 – 10 years of Supply Chain experience
• SAP / Order Management experience
• Tier 1 CPG experience
