Overview:
Lafarge is seeking a Data Entry and Billing Clerk to support our Foothills Construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting and processing financial data, maintaining billing records, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. This is a great opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in a professional finance setting and contribute to the success of our organization
This is a seasonal oportunity anticipated end date in December with an opportunity for full time year round employment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Job Cost Accountant with customer billing, variance PO’s and other duties as required.
- Accurately input and process financial data into our accounting system
- Maintain billing records and ensure accurate and timely billing of clients
- Assist with accounts payable activities including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment preparation
- Assist with accounts receivable activities including customer communication and payment follow-up
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the finance team
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Currently enrolled in Diploma or Degree program related to Finance and Accounting
