Overview

As a Loader Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to load materials into trucks, hoppers, or railcars. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that materials are loaded safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to operate heavy machinery and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders to load and transport various materials such as sand, gravel, or rocks.
• Ensure that materials are loaded safely and efficiently, and that production goals are met.
• Maintain and operate the loader in a safe and effective manner.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any issues to the maintenance team.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure that production goals are met.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably loaders.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate loaders in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Sparwood, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
