Lallemand Solutions Santé inc. Looking for Clinical Laboratory Assistant at Montréal, Quebec Full Time

Reporting to the Clinical Laboratory Manager, the Clinical Laboratory Assistant will participate in the clinical laboratory activities.

Responsibilities

 Analyze various clinical samples according to standard procedures (e.g. feces, saliva, vaginal swabs, blood and breastmilk)
 Assist in the development of novel methods for the analysis of clinical samples, including, but not limited to, the implementation of automated platforms
 Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and records to ensure optimal performance
 Maintain laboratory inventory of samples using electronic inventory system
 Maintain detailed and updated electronic laboratory notebook
 Communicate scientific results through internal reports, posters and presentations
 Perform other laboratory activities to support the laboratory manager and clinical research team
 Maintain a safe and clean laboratory work environment, respecting the internal rules and external regulations
 Assist in development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
 Any other related tasks

Requirements
 Bachelor’s degree or a college diploma in a life science (Biology, Biochemistry, Cell biology, Molecular Biology, etc) ;
 Minimum of one (1) year of laboratory experience in microbiology, molecular biology, or biochemistry;
 Familiar with molecular techniques and microbial physiology;
 Good analytical and synthesis skills to deal with complex subjects;
 Bilingual English and French;
 Autonomy, sense of organization, dependable, detail-oriented;
 Ability to use judgment and creativity to adapt and problem-solve;
 Proficient computer skills (Microsoft 365, LIMS);
 Excellent communication skills and teamwork oriented.

 Work place: 6100 Avenue Royalmount, Montréal, QC H4P 2R2;
 37.5 hours per week, from Monday to Friday;
