We are looking for individuals seeking freelance, work-from-home opportunities assembling hinges. You will not be considered an employee of Larsen & Shaw.
MUST BE LOCATED IN WALKERTON ONTARIO OR SURROUNDING AREA. Applicants outside the area will not be considered.
Pay starts at $23.00 per 1000 hinges (depends on the difficulty of the hinge assembly)
Description:
- Responsible for the assembly of hinges in your own home according to Larsen & Shaw Quality Assurance Standards, in a timely matter.
Requirements:
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, in order to meet production requirements
- Drop off and pick up of hinges at Larsen & Shaw facility by assembler is strongly preferred and is required for any locations outside of Walkerton.
- In some circumstances L&S may provide drop off and pick up service. However, location must be within town limits and have an appropriate drop off station (i.e. house, garage). Must keep a clear pathway at all times (free of snow & ice)
- Must be able to assemble a variety of hinges
- Suggested assembly rate of a minimum of 3,000 hinges per week
Physical considerations:
- Bins can be heavy, often weighing over 60lbs
- Some assemblies require forcibly hitting the pin with a hammer
- Good eyesight, hand strength and dexterity is required

- Some hinges are small, some are large. Some will require tools such as a hammer to tap the pin in place. Do you have hand strength and dexterity required to assemble hinges as described?

- Can you accommodate last minute rush orders?
- Hinges vary in size, shape and complexity. You may not get the same type of hinges all the time. Are you ok with this?
- You will be provided instructions on how to assemble the hinges. If done incorrectly, you will be required to correct the mistake on your own time. Do you agree to this?
