The coordinator of general and pre-university education is the link between the Direction adjointe aux études – enseignement, the school organisation and the teachers. In order to guarantee and maintain the quality of teaching and training at LaSalle College.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Studies, your main responsibilities will be :

• Identifying needs and collaborating in the process of recruiting and assigning teaching staff;
• Ensuring that staff tasks comply with contractual terms and conditions and the collective agreement;  
• Participate in the professional integration of new teachers
• Help implement the action plans of the programme teams
• Help plan research and development (R&D) activities carried out by teachers.
• Collaborate in the academic organisation of study programmes and ensure compliance with internal procedures;
• Ensure sound management of the help centres (under his/her responsibility: the coordinators of the various help centres)
• Collaborate in the continuous improvement of processes related to the quality of teaching in general;
• Work with the administrative team to coordinate and manage placement tests, uniform language tests, and offers of choice of complementary courses and physical education;
• Working with teachers and the property department to coordinate the rental of external gyms
• Help organise and coordinate special activities and events organised by teachers in the programmes for which they are responsible (e.g. theme evenings, events, competitions, final projects, etc.).

Required Qualifications

• A DEC or BAC in a related field. 
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience, ideally in the education sector.
• Experience with CLARA and Omnivox software (an asset);
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PPT)
• Excellent command of written and spoken French and English.

This role involves interaction with internal and external clients and partners nationally and globally. Professional competency in the English language is therefore a requirement of this role.
