LD Human Resources Looking for Bookkeeper at Toronto, ON Full Time

We are looking for Bookkeeper to join one of our client’s growing team. Our client is a mid-size, privately owned company in the gaming and technology industry located in the core of Toronto.

The full-time Bookkeeper will work closely with the Finance Department and will be responsible for various responsibilities such as, but not limited to:

• Process financial transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Check and verify source documents such as invoices, receipts, etc.
• Process vendor invoices for payments
• Allocate and post financial transaction details
• Review bank activity and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Process payroll and employee benefits
• Maintain financial statements (trial balance, income statement, balance sheet)
• Organize and analyze account data and general financial reports
• Accounts Receivable and Payable
• Prepare month-end Financials
• Comply with relevant reporting requirements (GST/HST, WSIB, EHT, PD7A)
• Assist with budget preparation
• Assist in audit and year-end preparation for corporate tax return
• Maintain complete filing system to support financial records
• Assist management with ad hoc audit requests, reports, and process and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 2 years-experience in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping
• Successful completion of a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance or Business
• Designated accounting professional (CPA, CMA and CPA, CGA) is an asset
• Excellent understanding of general accounting principles and procedure
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero; knowledge of other systems is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Experience in SRED is an asset
• Self-starter, professional, self-confident and organized
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently an as part of a team
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial spirited, fast-paced, and changing work environment.
• Must be able to commute to office in Toronto

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
