Job Summary:

You are a safety focused Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician fully tooled for automotive repairs. You will be an integral member of the Ledcor team working on the day to day maintenance of fleet vehicles at an Industrial plant setting.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventative maintenance including filter and lube services

  • Diagnoses faults or malfunctions and repairs or replaces defective parts, components or systems

  • Tests repaired light vehicles for proper performance

  • Write service reports

  • Interprets work orders and technical manuals

Qualifications:

  • Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician ticket from a recognized provincial training authority

  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean 3 year driver’s abstract

  • Ford vehicle experience is considered an asset

  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision

Work Conditions

  • Candidates local to Ft. McMurray, AB will be given preference due to the location of the project.

  • Camp based accommodation with travel allowance provided

  • 14/7 shift rotation working 12 hours per day

  • Benefits provided by CLAC

  • Work will be primarily in Automotive shop but also outdoors in various weather conditions at times
