Reporting to the president, perform a wide variety of responsible clerical, technical, administrative and office support duties in support of the HR Department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
– Validate job descriptions.
– Perform internal and external posting of the various positions to be filled and ensure that they are updated on the various platforms / sites used.
– Keep online job postings updated as hiring needs evolve.
– Receive, sort and analyze applications.
– Screen received job applications for suitability for interview.
– Present qualified candidates applications to president.
– Book interviews accordingly.
– Evaluate candidates in interviews to determine if their profile is appropriate and if they have the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to fill the position.
– Conduct reference and background checks on successful candidates.
– Facilitate job offer process and make job offers as required.
– Negotiate rates/salaries and job offers including counter offers, to ensure that the candidates are enthused with the results.
– Prepare all required employee correspondence.
– Keep data entry for applicant tracking.
– Maintain employee files.
– Maintain attendance at work, absenteeism and track vacations.
– Keep data entry for Employee Training.
– Translations of Training documents if required.
– Perform other related duties.
The ideal candidate would have the following experience and qualifications:
– 2 years of experience in HR in the manufacturing industry preferred.
– Excellent English and French communication skills – both verbal and written.
– Proficient computer skills.
– Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
– Knowledge of Quebec labor laws.
– Able to manage CNESST.
– Able to manage and ensure ongoing compliance with various compliance activities such as Quebec’s pay equity program and Charter of the French language.
– Knowledge of H&S Committee/H&S programs including developing plant safety policies/practices as required.
