Who We Are Seeking
We are looking for a Mid-level Java Developer to work with an embedded team here at LFL. You will collaborate with our project Tech Lead, Front-End Developers and other team members to build high quality applications following coding and unit testing best practices. In this role, you will interact with product managers and stakeholders to fully understand product requirements, provide recommended approaches to tickets and collaborate on a team of supportive engineers.
What You’ll Need to be Successful
Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with fellow developers and non-tech stakeholders
3+ years of professional experience with Java 8-20
Experience with SQL databases (eg MySQL, PostgreSQL) through native SQL
Experience with SQL through an ORM
Experience working with microservices and containers (such as Docker / Kubemetes) or cloud lambda functions
Experience with REST API development
Basic working knowledge of HTML5 and modern Javascript/Typescript
Experience writing and running unit tests
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Bonus Points
Expertise with RPC development
Recent experience with enterprise level Java (J2EE)
Experience creating and maintaining Docker containers
Experience with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
Experience with session management, authentication, authorization
Experience deploying applications to cloud computing services (GCP, AWS, etc.)
Prior working experience for an agency or service based organization
The salary range for this role is $110,000-$170,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
