Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Record financial transactions and complete posting process in accordance to IFRS;
Responsible for corporate and trust bank reconciliations;
Responsible for ensuring current source deduction payments are made on time and correctly;
Responsible for provincial and federal tax instalments;
Responsible for all G/L entries;
Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivables;
Responsible for gain/loss calculations on FVPL and FVOCI investments;
Responsible for income accruals;
Responsible for calculating client fees using trust and estate accounting principles;
Responsible for Internal Audit items;
Responsible for financial testing and modelling as requested by management;
Responsible for depreciation calculations;
Responsible for creation of and maintaining the annual budget;
Responsible for calculating the variances from the budget and reporting significant issues to management;
Preparation and presentation of quarterly financial commentary for management, board and regulators;
Prepare for and facilitate the annual external audit;
Prepare Notes to Financial statements;
Preparation of year-end accruals;
Responsible for T2 preparation;
Responsible for monthly financial reporting and timely delivery to management;
Responsible for annual insurance renewals;
Responsible for cash flow reporting and projections;
Responsible for calculation of sales commissions;
Responsible for tracking New Business Sales revenues;
Responsible for tracking of marketing campaign budgets;
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual regulator fillings;
Responsible for maintaining the petty cash and stamp funds;
Responsible for providing overview to Human Resources in respect to Payroll;
Responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to management as requested;
Developing and improving KPIs;
Responsible for annual client reviews;
Manage multi-pay systems (PAD); and
Other duties as assigned.
