Position Summary
The Canadian Account Manager (CAM) is the key customer-facing contact point for LBS. The CAM is responsible to drive and sell the entire LBS portfolio within their region. They are responsible for managing all aspects of the business in their region. The CAM is backed by specialists that can be called in to facilitate the technical components of the selling and support processes.
Major Responsibilities
Primary customer contact for all aspects of LBS.
Sell the entire portfolio of LBS (Histology Consumables, Histology Instrumentation, Advanced Staining Instrumentation, Advanced Staining Consumables, and Service).
Achieve and exceed region’s quarterly and annual sales quota, strategic and unit sales mix objectives, profit goal and market share goals.
Forecast monthly revenue projections utilizing the company CRM (Salesforce.com).
Drive and provide support on customer evaluations, installations and training across the product lines.
Develop, solidify and maintain, high-level relationships within key accounts (including Top 10) in assigned geography. These relationships should include Senior Hospital Management (C-Suite), Laboratory Administration, Department of Pathology, Purchasing and Materials Management, Contracts Administration and other key departments and/or personnel.
Maintain competent working knowledge of Danaher Business System tools and utilize such knowledge in all interactions with internal and external customers.
Required Education, Experience, Skills
Education: BSc., BComm. or equivalent with professional sales / business training
Experience/Skills:
Previous sales experience
Computer skills (E-mail, Excel, Powerpoint, CRM / Salesforce and similar programs)
Ability to work / visit customer kaboratories (No Restrictions)
Desired Education, Experience, Skills
Education: BSc., Business, or Laboratory Sciences degree
Experience/Skills:
5 years in a similar role is preferable
Previous work in Healthcare / Regulated Environment
Experience in Histology or Pathology or Molecular is a plus
Travel: Field Based – approximately 50% of time (outside home area) with travel near home area as well.
Language: English (required) and French (optional)

The employee must be comfortable working on a computer (seated or standing) for periods of time to complete documentation, e-mail, CRM requirements, quotes and similarly related programs
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position will require frequent travel by car and flying in and out of airports with possible long wait times.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, most work while with customers is in a laboratory setting (this may include seeing human or animal tissue excised for diagnostic purposes). Lighting and temperature are adequate. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. Exposure to some smells or vapors may be present but in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices. Work in a home office will also be frequent.
May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events or to meet deadlines or large or important projects
