The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who will oversee the company’s financial records. You will be responsible for maintaining all accounting procedures and controls by following all regulatory and accounting guidelines to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities / In this role you will:
-Support all aspects of accounting management (billing, budgeting, developing processes, reporting, etc.).
-Formulating internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
-Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
-Oversee the billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
-Manage journal entries and reconcile accounts for month end and year-end.
-Assist in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.
-Help in the development of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
-Review the company’s accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies.
-Utilize accounting systems to facilitate processes and maintain records.
-Oversee Payroll (act as back up, when needed).
-Maintain compliance with government agencies
-Act as the point of contact for external auditors
-Maintain internal books and finances Analyze financial transactions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or 5 – 7 years of related experience
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial reporting etc.)
- Good understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and accounting software (QuickBooks)
- CPA preferred
- Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize.
- Problem-solving abilities
