Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Global Compensation, Benefits & HRIS the Compensation & Benefits Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of company salary and benefits structure. This includes designing, planning, and implementing corporate policies and procedures that adhere to legal requirements. The Compensation and Benefits Manager will achieve these goals in a cost-effective manner, while administering health plans and retirement programs that meet the needs of employees as well as the implementation and administration of HRIS and Equity platforms. Integrity and the ability to provide value are crucial for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:
Global benefits and pension support, including the set-up of plans and programs
Working with the Director, Global Compensation, Benefits & HRIS, develop, implement and support the global compensation programs
Remain abreast of trends and developments in laws or regulations that apply to compensation and benefits
Establish ongoing communication plan via materials such as plan summaries or description
Prepare and distribute reports
Support the Director, Global Compensation, Benefits & HRIS with executive compensation plans
Liaise with HR and Finance team members on daily compensation administration and additional projects
Job Qualifications:
University degree in Human Resource, Finance, or Business preferred
Minimum of 7 years’ experience
Demonstrated progressive experience in compensation and benefits analysis and supervisory duties
Compensation certification with CBP, CCP or CEBS designation an asset
Knowledge of current best practices in salary, benefit and pension trends
Previous experience in HRIS implementations
Experience in managing the processing of salaries, bonuses, commissions, and other forms of compensation
Strong knowledge of audits, income tax forms, stock option programs, health benefits programs, sick pay, retirement plans, and so on.
Experience with contract management and management of complex health or insurance plans provided by external vendors.
Strong writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to prepare ad hoc reports using Microsoft Excel.
Able to handle confidential information in an ethical manner.
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
