As an Accounts Payable Coordinator, you will work to support our Finance division to process and control supplier invoices from third parties and intercompany invoices. The successful incumbent will have a strong attention to detail and work in adherence to GAAP accounting practices and principles.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process employee expenses and handle a high volume of assigned invoices.
- Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the AP mailboxes for the AP team, on a daily basis.
- Assist in month-end closing of ledgers, control of accounts and reporting, preparation of payment proposals, payment data entry, EFT runs, distribution of electronic remittances, online bill payments and cheque runs
- Responsible for the processing of 3rd party invoices via our AP software and integration with our corporate ERP based on our LCA procurement procedure
- Completion of vendor statement reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Filing as required
- Back up support to other team member as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Competencies
- 5+ years’ experience in full cycle accounts payables is required, including experience working with ERP accounting systems
- College completion required, an Accounting Diploma or related field of study is strongly preferred
- You possess advanced knowledge in MS Office applications, specifically in Excel (ie. power pivot, advanced formulas)
- Highly resourceful and detail driven
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, and the ability to thrive in a very dynamic environment with regular changes in priorities.
- Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), you apply exemplary customer service when mailing or calling internal customer and external vendors/suppliers. French language would be considered an asset
