Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Data Analyst will be responsible for managing and tracking financial data, developing reports and supporting the data governance efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, reasoning, and critical-thinking skills.
This position can be performed remotely.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure data integrity by analyzing data sources details and accuracy, mapping, verifying and providing data governance reports
Support and maintain data models and dashboards using our Business Intelligence software (Sisense)
Collect, validate and manipulate data to generate multiple reports
Designing and releasing business critical reports and ensuring smooth hand-off to users
Provide troubleshooting, assistance, and training to end-users on new reports and dashboards
Communicate proactively with accounting and other departments to resolve data governance issues
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent listening and understanding skills, and an ability to interpret spoken and written messages and to deliver upon them promptly
Proven experience with SQL and BI tools, strong skills in developing and maintaining SQL queries
Strong understanding of data concepts, data analysis, data models, relational database concepts and segmentation techniques
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Advanced Excel skills and experience (Vlookup, If statements, Countif, Conditional formatting)
Strong deductive and inductive reasoning to assist in problem-solving, and analytical and logical thinking
Ability to work independently
Education and Work Experience
An undergraduate degree in business/commerce, engineering, mathematics or other quantitative fields
2-3 years of data analysis and modeling experience in SQL
