Liquid Rubber Canada Looking for Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper at Oakville, Ontario, Canada Full Time

This Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeper position reports to the Finance Manager and the ideal candidate will be responsible for several functional areas within the finance team including full cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries. Moreover, the candidate will have to adapt to an ever-changing business model as well as help prepare financial reports and account reconciliations within a growing e-commerce business.

The candidate must have extensive bookkeeping experience and the maturity to handle a dynamic environment with deadlines. This role is well-suited for somebody who easily handles pressure and prides themselves on quality and accountability. The candidate must have the highest level of professionalism, integrity and attention to detail.

Accounting Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting duties with day-to-day journal entries across multiple currencies (CAD, USD, GBP and EUR) and multiple subsidiaries.
• Accounts Payable – Processing and posting supplier invoices to the accounting system.
• Accounts Receivable – Customer invoicing including inputting monthly invoices from ecommerce channels and reconciling to payouts.
• Reconciling bank and credit card transactions.
• Confirming the accuracy of incoming shipments/packing slips and corresponding data entry.
• Raw material and inventory reconciliation.
• Processing and posting customer payments to customers’ accounts.
• Experience with month-end closing processes including accruals, prepayments, and basic management reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills / Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Accounting
• Accounting/Bookkeeping experience: 7 to 10 years
• Experience or training in QuickBooks
• Positive, outgoing, helpful, team-player attitude
• Strong organizational, multitasking, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to adapt to changes and handle moderate amounts of stress
• Ability to assess situations and provide solutions (critical thinking)
• Intermediate Excel and Word skills
