Role Description
Integral to the company’s overall accounting and finance process, reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will:
- Post daily accounting entries in the company’s registers and journals
- Maintain organization of accounting records and data
- Perform account reconciliations at period ends
- Own the aggregation and reconciliation of retail sales from all global sales channels
- Assist with processing accounts payables and receivables
- Assist with the preparation of sales tax filings
- Process employee reimbursements
- Generate analysis to support sales and buying forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of reporting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Assist with the tracking of employee time-tracking, vacation tracking and employee incentive or wage programs
- Updating and entering cost information
- Processing duty drawbacks
- Assist the Controller, Owner, Director of Operations with ad-hoc financial analysis and tasks
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years work experience as a Junior accountant
- University degree in business, accounting or finance and holds a CPA designation, or is in process
- Strong Analytical skills
- Computer Skills, particularly Excel, Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP programs, and familiarity with financial accounting apps/tools.
- Detail oriented with superior organization and time management skills
- Strong communication
