Little Canada is a vast, highly detailed and animated journey through Canada in miniature. This permanent attraction opened in summer 2021 in the heart of downtown Toronto, in a 50,000 square foot facility. Our goal is to be a top 10 attraction in Toronto, with anticipated attendance of over 500,000/year.

Overview
Our business scope has expanded, and we are looking for a detail-oriented and strategically minded senior financial analyst to help with our special projects on a contract basis (up to 4 months) with the possibility for a permanent placement.
What you’ll be doing:
Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the senior financial analyst’s responsibilities include support accounting system integration (Netsuite ERP) with testing of features to be rolled into production
Assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes review and templates, improving & developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership.
To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to create, improve and develop templates to support a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting and KPIs
You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner
Develop and implement systems, processes and procedures to streamline accounting and ensure appropriate controls and segregation of duties utilizing all the tools available (Netsuite ERP, BMO Banking, Power BI and other).
Work with the Director of Finance to develop and implement finance policies including expenditure approval policy and procedures
Provide support for our government grants applications to submit to our consultants, as required
As needed, work with the Director of Finance on special projects that can span across the finance, operations, HR and destinations teams
What you will posses:
You are a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or are currently pursuing the designation.
Up to 5 years of experience; 2+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and modeling
You have a keen eye for reviewing the day-to-day transactions and recommending workflow improvements & internal controls
You are providing high-level analyses of the organization’s financial performance metrics to the finance team as you assist the Director of Finance in developing new structures and processes
Can create structure and processes where there are is little or none. In particular, you can establish scalable financial processes such as month-end close and entity-level controls for a small to medium organization with ambitious growth plans
Are technology fluent and easily able to implement new software tools to streamline our work
Are proactive and ensure financial and management reporting data are accurate and shared on a timely basis to facilitate organizational decision making
Have a high degree of attention to detail while also being able to see the big picture
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup) – it will be tested
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, Oracle, or related financial systems
Working Conditions
This role is based at our 10 Dundas Street East, Toronto location
Office work will require long periods of sitting
Walking, standing and interacting with guests and staff will be required during operating hour
