We are seeking a probationary full time Gr. 1-3 teacher (grade to be determined). This contract will commence for the 2024-2025 school year (August 26, 2024).
We Are Seeking a Teacher Who Has
Educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team; utilizing structures and strategies of Collaborative Response;
A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
A strong belief in parent involvement and regular communication with home;
Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
An in depth knowledge of, and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices, and an ability to develop multiple forms of assessments including portfolios and projects, in addition to traditional assessments;
Experience and a desire to include place-based learning, and a commitment to provide outdoor learning opportunities;
Knowledge of, and experience with the delivery of UFLI instruction as part of a school wide initative;
An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, and social/emotional needs within a regular classroom setting;
Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same.
Salary Will Be Commensurate With Qualifications And Experience.
