L’OCCITANE Group Looking for Junior Accountant at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

The Junior Accountant’s primary responsibilities will be assisting in the day-to-day operation of the accounting department, assisting with the examination of Ecommerce sales and payments to determine potential fraud risk.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accounting Duties

• • Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain proper supporting documentations
  • Assist with bank reconciliation process
  • Assist with fraud, chargeback, and open invoice analysis
  • Process the annual business license renewals and property taxes
  • Prepare and respond to government surveys and annual reports
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirement
  • Ad hoc analysis and special projects as required from time to time.
• All other duties or projects as assigned.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Timely reconciliation of cash and credit cards accounts.
• Timely closing of the accounting period.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

• College diploma in related field (finance, accounting, business)

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or quantitative role is required

SKILLS:

• Excellent proficiency in Excel is required (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s)
• Advance computer skills with searching and analyzing online databases and big data
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

PHYSICAL & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to travel to Toronto Office, following hybrid schedule
