Position Summary
The HR Generalist will be responsible for executing a variety of essential operational and administrative functions for the division. As an important member of the HR team, this individual will contribute to the achievement of HR goals and division strategic objectives by performing and supporting the following:
Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)
HR Customer Service
Respond to routine internal and external Human Resources related inquiries or requests, including employment verifications.
Distributes requests to the appropriate next-level resource, as necessary. Seeks to remedy all issues in a timely manner.
Ensures all HR communications, including signage, forms, and compliance documentation are current, accurate, and engaging.
Benefits Administration and Payroll Support
Assists benefits leadership by fielding initial participant inquiries. Provides proper documentation and direction to plan providers, as appropriate.
Organizes and administers annual benefits open enrollment activities. Drafts plan and enrollment materials for employees and new hires.
Addresses employee questions associated with pay discrepancies or clarifications, garnishments, withholding changes, or related payroll events.
Assist Payroll Specialist: which includes checking timekeeping records, data entry, as well as changes in information/payroll.
Completes dependent management procedures, eligibility reviews, and communication with internal or external benefit plan professionals.
Recordkeeping and HRIS
Enters, updates, and maintains confidential employee and applicant data into a suite of HR systems. Establishes and retains process documentation for data management processes, audits, and reviews.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Ensures required employment law posters, signage, and employee communication meet regulatory requirements.
Monitors and reports on electronic and hard-copy document retention policies. Seeks to minimize physical documents and expand digital records.
Provides monthly reports as requested.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, HR Management, or related field
5+ year’s experience in Human Resources and Office Administration
Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, HRIS/Payroll applications, and similar HR systems, websites, and applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to utilize a variety of media (intranet, email, signage, etc.) to inform and communicate across an organization.
PHR or SHRM preferred.
Able to sit up to 8 hours a day.
Able to look at a computer for up 8 hours a day.
Must be able to walk, stand, and bend periodically.
May be required to lift, up to 20 pounds.
Office environment providing support to manufacturing employees.
