We are ready to scale up and looking for a motivated and adaptable experienced finance leader with a team-oriented approach to help evolve and enhance the company’s internal and external reporting. The successful candidate will view themselves as a business enabler with a focus on the internal customer and the art of the possible. They will be a key driver in bring transparency and visibility to the business through enhancing business processes and reporting. This will be a hands-on role developing not only the organization but coaching and motivating team members so that they can reach their full potential and help the organization deliver upon their lofty ambitions.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist and ensure that the finance team delivers into the company’s strategic plan and exceeds the stated objectives
Own and deliver against key external and internal reporting requirements including:
Quarterly and annual filings including corporate filing requirements such as Financial Statements, MD&A, AIF, TSX forms and Tax filings
Develop and evolve the monthly management reporting process including the monthly management information session to deliver timely and accurate information to the business
Manage and oversee reporting against government grants
Oversee and direct the FP&A function including the annual budgetary process and quarterly forecasting updates to ensure the finance function is enabling the business to plan and deliver against the projected significant growth
Ensure the company’s ERP and business processes are capturing and delivering stage appropriate information to enable the business to move forward
Develop and build a first-in-class stage appropriate finance team using a collaborative and coaching mentality
Maintain and help evolve the company’s existing internal control environment
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.
Chartered Professional Accountant, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience working for international/cross-border companies is an asset
Experience in a manufacturing environment, having operated in a scale up environment would be considered beneficial
