To continue to improve and support the College – Loyalist College is currently seeking to fill the
newly created position of Dean – Leadership, Learning and Academic Excellence to support our
Academic Schools. In this role, the successful candidate will be accountable for building capacity
in excellence in teaching and learning across the College. Focused on the needs of the students,
faculty, community partners and government ministries/agencies, the Dean will promote and drive
teaching excellence and engagement in scholarship. In this role, the successful incumbent will be
accountable for the integration of diversity, equity and inclusion in the learning experience. The
incoming Dean will provide leadership in instructional design and informed pedagogy towards the
integration of appropriate technologies in the learning and teaching activities across in-person,
online and hybrid/hyperflex delivery models. The incoming Dean will build and oversee effective
academic quality assurance frameworks, policies and processes while working collaboratively with
the academic leadership team to ensure curriculum and related vocational learning outcomes meet
or exceed external accreditation and licensing requirements.
