Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Power BI Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. The Power BI Support Specialist will be responsible for providing expert technical support, troubleshooting assistance, and guidance to users and teams utilizing Power BI for business intelligence and data visualization. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the effective use of Power BI across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide prompt and effective technical support to Power BI users through various communication channels, including email, chat, phone, and ticketing systems.
Address user queries, issues, and concerns related to Power BI reports, dashboards, and datasets.
Investigate and analyze reported issues or errors in Power BI.
Identify root causes and implement solutions or workarounds to resolve technical issues.
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to data connectivity, data transformation, report design, and performance optimization within Power BI.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles, to assist users and colleagues.
Provide training, guidance, and best practice recommendations to users and colleagues on Power BI usage, data modeling, visualization design, and report development.
Assist in configuring data sources, data gateways, and data refresh schedules for Power BI reports and datasets.
Ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards by identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks.
Implement best practices for enhancing report performance.
Implement and manage security measures within Power BI, including role-based access control, row-level security, and data encryption.
Ensure compliance with data security and privacy requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, database administrators, and business analysts, to integrate Power BI with other data systems and tools.
Set up monitoring tools and alerts to proactively identify and address issues with Power BI services and data refreshes.
Generate regular reports on system performance and usage.
Collect and consolidate user feedback on Power BI features, usability, and performance.
Share feedback with product development teams for continuous improvement.
