Job description

We are seeking a young, dynamic and well-presented individual to join our team as a Waiter cum Bartender. As an integral part of our Squires Public House team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Depending on your placement, your duties may include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless flow of service. Additionally, you will showcase your bartending skills by mixing and pouring beverages as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Confirming and managing walk-in, telephonic, and online reservations.
• Directing early arrivals to the bar while they wait for their tables.
• Escorting guests to their tables and providing them with menus.
• Communicating food and beverage requests to the relevant staff.
• Mixing and pouring beverages, showcasing bartending expertise.
• Transporting food orders from the kitchen to respective tables.
• Clearing tables of glassware, silverware, and crockery after guests complete their meals.
• Providing guests with checks at the end of their dining experience.
• Reporting and addressing any breakages by diners.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in both serving and bartending roles.
• Professional appearance.
• Compliance with prescribed uniform standards.
• Excellent verbal communication and memorization skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to remain composed under stress or pressure.
• Physically fit and able to perform duties efficiently.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to undertake additional responsibilities as needed to support restaurant operations.
